Women's choir “Liepos” of Vilnius Cultural Centre

Women's choir “Liepos” was established in 1989. The majority of the singers grew up from the girls’ choir studio “Liepaitės”. The first conductor was Alma Gudelytė.
Choir’s artistic leader and conductor - Audronė Steponavičiūtė Zupkauskienė (since 1992), pianist Loreta Barzinskaitė-Kuliešiuvienė.

Repertoire of the choir includes choral music of different epochs and styles. “Liepos” gives a lot of concerts, prepares and performs interesting and original concert programs. The leader Audronė Steponavičiūtė Zupkauskienė has compiled series of concert cycles which, when performed by the choir, always appeal to the emotions of the audience:

A lot of compositions performed by “Liepos” were recorded at Lithuanian Radio & Television, and Lithuanian Centre of National Culture. The choir has released three CDs comprising the Lithuanian folk and original compositions as well as choral pieces of foreign composers.
